What Our Team Brought Home From Corvette Academy

Our team went to the Corvette Academy in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for classroom sessions, delivery training, and time behind the wheel, where we pushed these cars to their limits.

That training has changed how we deliver a Corvette at Jessup Auto Plaza Chevrolet.

We Start By Getting to Know You

Before choosing your car, we want to know how you plan to use it: whether it’ll see a track, or spend weekend mornings at a coffee meet; whether you drive it year-round; which systems you want, and how much time you want to spend on the handoff.

We work with track-focused owners on drive modes, the Performance Data Recorder, and tire/brake behavior. A weekend driver may care more about roof operation, front lift, memory settings, and remote features.

Whatever you’re looking for, we’re ready to help you find the Corvette for you. We’ll also confirm the order matches what you expected once it arrives, down to the options and accessory work.

Delivering Your Corvette

Delivery day is an event in itself. First, we clean the car inside and out so it photographs well. We handle app and connectivity setup ahead of time, so you aren’t filling out enrollment screens at the dealership. Then, we prepare a dedicated delivery space in our Cathedral City showroom. Finally, you arrive for the big reveal and photos. Friends and family are welcome to take part.

Plan for a real appointment on delivery day, rather than just a signature and key handoff. Though if you would rather be in and out, we will respect that and have everything ready to go.

Understanding the Performance Systems

Our time on the track changed how we talk about these cars. Drive modes are the clearest example. On public roads, Sport, Z Mode, and My Mode give a sharper feel while keeping the suspension suited to the surface.

Aero packages, suspension setups, tire choices, and other performance options all carry tradeoffs. The setup that works for you on a track day may not be automatically suited for a long commute.

This is where the discovery conversation pays off. Whether you plan to track the car twice a year and drive it the rest of the time, or something else, we’ll talk through what you really need to make your car work for you.

Ownership Guidance Up Front

Chevrolet publishes a model-specific Track Preparation Guide with requirements that differ by car. We’ll go through your requirements with you before you book a day on the track. In general, Chevrolet recommends waiting on track driving until the car has reached 1,500 miles.

Chevrolet no longer requires an initial oil change at 500 miles. Current guidance puts the first scheduled maintenance visit at 7,500 miles unless the Driver Information Center indicates an oil change is due sooner. Operating conditions can shorten that interval — your Owner's Manual is the authority on your specific car.

After you drive off the lot, we follow up the next day, after a week, and again after a month, asking what has come up and how we can help. In these conversations, we introduce you to the service advisor who will look after your car. That way, you already know who you’ll be working with once something needs attention.

The Corvette World Beyond Rancho Mirage

Chevrolet runs several programs for Corvette owners beyond the dealership. Corvette Concierge is a dedicated Chevrolet team that answers questions about shopping, ordering, and ownership by phone, chat, or email.

Corvette Owner School at Spring Mountain offers driving instruction built around the exact model you own. Qualified buyers can also work side-by-side with master engine technicians in the Performance Build Center to hand-build their own engine.

Schedule a Test Drive in Cathedral City

Many Corvette buyers have waited a long time to purchase their car. That’s why we underwent training: because you deserve a delivery you’ll remember.

Come see the Corvettes in our new Chevrolet inventory, or talk to us about ordering one built the way you want it.

Then schedule a test drive or stop by Jessup Auto Plaza Chevrolet at 68111 E Palm Canyon Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234. Sales is available at 760-904-0525, and our certified service department is here for the car after delivery.

Fresh Start Tire Event

Buy 3 Tires, Get 1 for $1 at the Fall Fresh Start Tire Event

Months of summer heat are hard on tires. Hot pavement speeds up tread wear and stresses sidewalls, and by fall many drivers are running on tires that have seen better days. From October 1 through November 30, 2026, the Certified Service Fall Fresh Start Tire Event at Jessup Auto Plaza Chevrolet lets you buy three select tires and get the fourth for just $1 with installation. You can also save on the parts that work alongside your tires. Stackable rebates are available on brake pads, rotors, shocks, struts, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors at our Cathedral City service center. How the Buy 3, Get 1 for $1 Offer Works It's simple. Buy four eligible tires, have them installed by our Certified Service team, and pay $1 for the fourth tire. The savings are applied instantly on your repair order, so there's no rebate form to mail and no waiting. The offer covers 11 of the most trusted tire brands: BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Cooper, Firestone, Goodyear, Hankook, Kelly, Michelin, Pirelli, and Uniroyal. Eligible tires are priced at $450 or less per tire before taxes, so you can save up to $450 on your fourth tire. Premium tires priced above $450 still qualify. You'll pay the difference between $450 and the tire's price on the fourth tire only, and still enjoy the savings. Use our tire finder to see what fits your vehicle, or shop new tires by brand. Stack Your Savings with Around the Wheel Rebates While your vehicle is in for new tires, it's the perfect time to take care of brake service, suspension, and TPMS sensors. These rebates stack with each other and with the Buy 3, Get 1 for $1 tire offer, with combined savings of up to $240 in rebates. Choose from Good, Better, and Best parts options to fit your driving needs: Part Good (ACDelco Silver) Better (ACDelco Gold) Best (OE/GM Genuine Parts) Limit Brake Pads $15 per axle $20 per axle $30 per axle 2 axles Brake Rotors $15 per axle $20 per axle $30 per axle 2 axles Shocks/Struts $20 per axle $30 per axle $40 per axle 2 axles TPMS Sensors N/A N/A $10 per tire 4 tires Maximum rebate of $240 assumes purchase and installation at a participating GM dealership of four OE/GM Genuine Parts TPMS sensors, two sets of OE/GM Genuine Parts brake pads, two sets of OE/GM Genuine Parts brake rotors, and two sets of OE/GM Genuine Parts shocks/struts. Choose My GM Rewards Points Instead When you submit your rebate claim, you can choose to receive an equivalent amount in My GM Rewards points instead of a cash rebate. That's 100 points for every rebate dollar, up to 24,000 points total. How to Claim Your Parts Rebates After your service visit, go to www.mycertifiedservicerebates.com and fill out the online form, or print it and mail it in. You can also use the Certified Service Parts Lookup Tool on the same site to check your rebate amount using the part numbers on your repair order. Rebate and points claims must be submitted by December 31, 2026. Why Replace Your Tires This Fall Your tires are the only part of your vehicle that touches the road. Worn tread makes it harder to stop quickly and grip in the rain, and fall brings more traffic to Highway 111 and the roads around Rancho Mirage as seasonal residents return. A few signs it may be time for new tires: Low tread depth. Try the penny test: place a penny upside down in the tread groove. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread is likely too shallow. Uneven wear. Wear on one edge or in patches can point to alignment or suspension issues. Cracks, bulges, or sidewall damage. These can weaken a tire and should be checked right away. Vibration or noise. A rough or noisy ride can mean tire wear, balance problems, or worn suspension parts. If you're unsure where your tires stand, our Certified Service technicians will take a close look during your visit and walk you through what they find. Why Palm Desert Drivers Choose Certified Service at Jessup When you buy tires at Jessup Auto Plaza Chevrolet, you get more than a great price. Our Certified Service department technicians are trained on your vehicle and know which tires fit it best. We'll mount and balance your new tires, set the pressures to factory specifications, and relearn your TPMS sensors if equipped. We can also inspect the rest of your vehicle so you leave ready for the season ahead. Browse our current service and parts specials to see what else you can save on during your visit. Frequently Asked Questions When does the event run? October 1 through November 30, 2026. Can I use my My GM Rewards points to pay for my tires? Yes. The Ultimate Tire Guide

If you own a vehicle, it is important for you to take care of it, and that means paying attention to the tires as well. Your tires are very important, as they have an impact on your gas mileage while also keeping you safe. Furthermore, you need to figure out when you need to replace your tires and how to select the right tires for your needs. What do you need to know about your tires? Take a look at a few important points below, and count on the experts from Jessup Auto Plaza to help you. Tire Rotations Matter If you want your tires to last as long as possible, you need to rotate them regularly. The tires on the front of your car do not necessarily wear at the same rate as the tires on the back of your car. If you do not rotate your tires, there is a chance that two of your tires could wear out before the other ones, meaning that you have to replace two of your tires prematurely. In general, you should rotate your tires at least once per year or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, there is a chance that you may not have to rotate your tires as often, but our dealership can review that with you. Check Your Tire Pressure You also need to check your tire pressure regularly. It is important for you to keep your tires at the right pressure because it improves your traction and gas mileage. Your tire pressure can change naturally over time. For example, when the weather gets cold outside, your tire pressure will naturally drop, meaning that you will need to put more air in your tires. Do not ignore your tire pressure monitoring system. If your tire pressure light is on, check your tire pressure. If you are having a difficult time getting your tires back to the right pressure, give us a call to make an appointment with our service center. Know When To Replace Your Tires Even if you take perfect care of your tires, you will eventually have to change them. In general, you should expect to get at least 30,000 miles out of your tires, but every brand of tire is different. The lifespan of your tires will also depend on your driving style. If you feel like it is taking you longer to get your vehicle to come to a complete stop, there is a chance that it could be time to change your tires. Or, if you feel like you are having a difficult time keeping control of your vehicle on the curves, there is a chance that your treads might be worn out. Visit our dealership today to speak to our team, and let us help you figure out if it is time for new tires. Find the Right Tires for Your Needs As you are looking for tires, you need to find the right tires for your vehicle. The first thing you need to think about is the size of your wheels. You need to find tires that will actually fit on the wheels of your car. Then, you need to find tires that are right for your driving style. For example, if you spend a lot of time driving in winter weather, you need to find tires that can handle snow and ice. On the other hand, these tires are not necessarily going to do well in hot weather. If you spend a lot of time driving in hot weather, you might need tires that are a bit harder. Let us help you.
