The MyFirstEV program is a California state initiative designed to make transitioning to electric driving easier and more affordable for local families. It delivers instant point-of-sale savings of $3,500 off new zero-emission vehicles and $1,750 off eligible used zero-emission vehicles right here at Jessup Auto Plaza. The $135.5 million state investment is matched dollar-for-dollar by participating automakers, resulting in $271 million in total consumer savings.
Who is eligible for the MyFirstEV rebate at Jessup?
To qualify for the MyFirstEV point-of-sale incentive through our showroom, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a California resident with a valid California Driver’s License.
- Be a first-time purchaser or lessee of a zero-emission electric vehicle (ZEV) in California.
- Complete the digital CARB Customer Attestation and provide the Jessup Auto Plaza team with your valid CARB Attestation Confirmation Number.
What vehicles qualify for the MyFirstEV discount?
Qualifying vehicles must meet specific state guidelines:
- Must be a light-duty passenger zero-emission vehicle (ZEV)—including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs).
- New models must be model year 2026 or 2027 with a base MSRP not exceeding $50,000 (note: exceptions apply to select California-headquartered exclusive ZEV manufacturers).
- Used vehicles must be sold through manufacturers’ pre-owned vehicle programs for up to $25,000.
- Must be purchased, delivered, and registered within the state of California.
- Must have no outstanding NHTSA safety recalls at the time of purchase or lease.
How do I apply the MyFirstEV discount when buying from Jessup Auto Plaza?
The incentive is applied instantly at the point of sale, meaning you do not have to wait for mail-in rebates or tax credits. Buyers must complete the digital CARB Customer Attestation form, receive their confirmation number, and provide it to the dealership team during the transaction.
